ITS Standards Training E-Squared Engineering supports and serves as an instructor in the federally sponsored U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration's ITS Standards training initiative. ITS Statewide Consulting Support E-Squared Engineering provides support for Florida DOT's nationally recognized ITS Commercial Vehicle Operations Program. ITS Statewide Operations and Maintenance Plan E-Squared Engineering produced the Maine DOT Operations and Maintenance Plan as well as outreach materials (brochures, website, presentation materials) for stakeholder government audiences as well as the general public. ITS Public Transportation Systems Operations and ITS Deployment Plans E-Squared Engineering conducted stakeholder interviews, identified user requirements, developed maintenance and operations plans, conducted literature reviews, identified state of the art technologies, and facilitated agency deployment strategies based on system needs and funding. E-Squared Engineering also created agency marketing and outreach plans to increase ridership and familiarize customer base with information on the benefits that can be expected from the deployment of the agency's latest ITS advancements. York County Transportation Authority Technology Investment and Implementation Plan City of Wichita ITS Implementation Plan Project Mgmt Services Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) System Engineering Design and Deployment Plan For An ITS Communications System Grand Rapids Transit (Interurban Transportation Partnership) ITS Deployment Plan Lake Erie Transit ITS Implementation Plan Fairfax County Connector ITS Deployment Plan ITS Freight Corridor Study E-Squared Engineering provided ITS recommendations for Georgia DOT's freight corridor between Savannah and Columbus - including safety issues, information flows, intermodal operations and economic enhancements. Statewide ITS Freight Technology Workshop E-Squared Engineering researched Alaskan freight flows, the methods of transport for all seasons, and identified the requirements of each mode with its respective stakeholders. Utilizing this rich data, E-Squared Engineering developed and presented a two day workshop outlining ITS' role in facilitating Alaskan freight flows while increasing the safety of the cargo as well as Alaskan citizens. 511 Pennsylvania Statewide Services Procurement E-Squared Engineering supported Pennsylvania DOT in the preparation, training, testing, and deployment of the statewide 511 Pennsylvania system. The system consists of the provision of traveler information over the Internet, through telephone with interactive voice response (IVR), and text and pager alerts.
Virginia Statewide 511 Services Procurement
E-Squared Engineering led team efforts on interviews and data
collection activities within the Washington, DC
regional area. This
included ten cities, eight counties, nine transit related agencies, regional
aviation authorities, various law enforcement consortiums, University of
Maryland Transportation Research personnel, and others. Data was used in the
development of the 511 Conceptual System Design as well as in the Metropolitan
Washington DC 511 Feasibility Study, produced by PBS&J, the prime contractor for
